Mission

INAA is the organization for all nurses and nursing students of Indian origin/heritage who currently reside in Austin/Temple. Our Mission is to empower and unite our nurses with educational activities and support them to excel at their work.

Vision

To promote personal and professional development of each individual members, by providing opportunities for mutual interaction and support, with the ultimate
goal of improved health and wellbeing of the community that we serve.

Values

As an organization of professional nurses and nursing students of Indian origin/heritage, we are committed to:

GOALS

  • Our goal is to unite all Indian nurses and nursing students of Austin and Temple as a professional body under one umbrella.
  • Equip its members with cultural competency, sensitivity, and educational experience to be effective in a multicultural society.
  • Promote the nursing profession through career counseling related to professional choices in schools and among the public at large.
  • Support nursing education by providing scholarships.
  • Provide leadership training and mentoring for its members
  • To provide health awareness to community groups in ethnic minority and socially, spiritually, and economically under-served communities.
  • To participate in conferences, workshops, seminars, and forums to increase the health knowledge
  • To collaborate with various ethnic minority populations to provide needed health and community services when a health crisis exists.
